bare with me as this is a somewhat long story.
i’m a college student and have been harassed by the same girl for about a year and half now. last year in a restaurant this girl (we’ll call her frida) poured water on me. at the time i didn’t do anything as i figured she’d gotten her anger out. the reason for her anger was because she was kicked out of the sorority that i’m in and i’m on the of the people who she blames for getting her kicked out. (this girl has a severe dependency on alcohol would threaten girls and harm the well being of others)… i had gone to the police before this because she had been harassing me and had planned on getting a restraining order but decided not to because she is the type where it would only fuel her anger. yesterday while at a college football game she flicked me off yelled numerous things at me and then came up and poured beer on me. this girl is quite a bit bigger than me and i didn’t know what she would do (i was expecting to be jumped) my boyfriend then put him arm out to keep her away from me and him and she began hitting him in the face… he never hit back though. at this point we decided to call the police as we didn’t know what she was capable of doing. our college police came and at first made it sound like they would arrest her for assault but after talking to her she claimed that my boyfriend pushed her to the ground. we have countless witnesses (people who we do not even know) that say that my boyfriend never touched her simply tried keeping her away from me… but never pushed nor hit her. the cops didn’t really care and did no help nor did they make me safe but make me fear for my life more. (this girl has been kicked out of the sorority for over a year and has only gotten more angry and more violent) they said i could go to the police station first thing tomorrow and file an assault charge and get a restraining order (which now i really feel i need)… but they said that she can also file charges against my boyfriend for assault even though there are many witnesses EVEN parents who say my boyfriend did not touch her out of harm. SHE threw the beer on me first she punched him 5 times and then continued to call me names and say “i wish i had punched you 5 times and not him”… the cops did such a shitty job that they didn’t even get my boyfriends name only mine. my worry is that i know if i file assault charges and get a restraining order is that she’ll turn around file them on him even though she has nothing to support it (except for her friends who she TOLD she say that he pushed her)… the cops didn’t even take down the witnesses names or numbers we had to do that. i cannot go on living in fear… i don’t go to public places by myself and flat out avoid everything. i can’t even go to my college football games now and she isn’t even a student here anymore!!! i would hate for my boyfriend to get charged when there are over 20 witnesses who all back him. i don’t know what i can do… but i know that i should of had the restraining order when i first had the chance but now i really need to do something… this girl only gets more violent!!
also my boyfriend has the opportunity to file charges against her. but he knows if he does that that this girl is crazy enough to turn around and do it to him. she wants to scare me and hurt me… she wants to make me suffer and it’s obvious that she doesn’t care WHO she hurts along the way. i just am scared… i’m so afraid that the restraining order would make it worse. while this was all going on she pointed me out to her friends and i’m afraid that she’ll get them to do something crazy.
& for those who say to just ‘let it go’… i’d love to. but i won’t see this girl for 6 mos to a year and then next thing i know i’m getting something poured on me and i turn around and it’s her. i don’t give her attention i don’t notice her she just wants to destroy my life… and this time she turned to real violence ie; punching my boyfirned 5 times (yes she’s bigger than my boyfriend).
This person needs psychiatric help and may only get it after being arrested. You’d be doing her as well as yourself a favor by getting the police involved.
Besides what if she decides that pouring beer on you is no longer satisfying enough for her
