Nebraska 2nd DUI
I recently received my 2nd DUI in Nebraska I also have an open container on my record. My lawyer tells me Ill probably get 10 days house arrest and yes Im aware Nebraska law says mandatory minimum jail time of 30 days but thats not what usually happens. The cop didnt show up to my dmv trial so I havent lost my license yet. I go to court in October can I still lose my license since the cop didn’t show up to my dmv trial (figure I can but not sure) My attorney says Ill be able to get a breathalyzer on my car and have a restricted license but will it be suspended completely for a while before Ill be able to do that Id ask my lawyer these questions but he never returns my damn calls. Oh and I dont need a lecture so save it. I know I have a drinking problem I know Im a stupid selfish asshole for driving drunk I know I could have killed someone I know you probably know someone who was killed by a drunk driver and you think Im a piece of shit who should be executed BUT all of that doesnt answer my question so seriously save it. Why is it if you get a ticket in Virginia it costs $1000. and..
its not like that in any other state.. i am from west virginia and pennsylvania.. and i wouldnt live in virginia due to that fact.. thats crazy and messed up.. i think thats overdoing it… i would have over $5000 in tickets for my five tickets i got in the last two years.. and someone gets a DUI here and its waaay cheaper than that.. thats messed up for a stupid little speeding ticket… i know its their law but its a stupid one i know that..

Can an officer charge you with a dui even if you aren’t operating a vehicle nor even in a vehicle Can they charge you by suspicion of drunk driving My friend was suspected of driving drunk and was given a breathalizer and failed it. Officers must have Probable Cause to believe that the person was operating a vehicle while in a drugged or intoxicated condition.
